Joseph L. Bourque, Jr.
President, Mary Immaculate Guild
Born and raised in Lawrence with nine siblings, Joe graduated from St. John’s Prep and Salem State College with a degree in Political Science. In 2014 Joe retired as Retail Sales Director for the New England Region of Cardinal Health (formerly James W. Daly, Inc.) after almost 40 years in sales and sales management. Joe and his wife, Diane, have ben residents of Ipswich since 1986 where he currently serves on the Town of Ipswich Finance Committee. Joe is very proud of his Lawrence roots and continues to maintain several connections with the city, most importantly his association with MI Nursing / Restorative Center and the MI Guild.
John Felci
Vice President, Mary Immaculate Guild
John Felci has been a guild member since its inception and has been the Vice President since 2022. John is the Director of Business Development for Life Care Ambulance Company in Methuen, MA and has a Masters of Education. He is an active member of his community and has been a part of the MI Transportation Board, Rotary President, Rotarian of the Year, President of the Holy Family Men’s Guild in Methuen and on the board of Berkley Nursing Home. He is proud to support MI’s excellent care and to be a part of the amazing MI community, which is always there to support one another. John understands the important need for quality elder and memory care in Lawrence. He has been married to his wife, Diane, for over 48 years and has two daughters and three grandchildren who are his best friends.
Gerard Foley, JD, MPH

In August 2022, we welcomed back Gerard “Gerry” Foley as President/CEO of Mary Immaculate Health Care Services (MIHCS), a role he initially held from 2011 to 2017. Gerry rejoined MIHCS after several years of service at Covenant Health’s home office in a variety of roles, including as Senior Vice President and President of Post-Acute Care and President of Covenant Health Systems, our Public Juridic Person (PJP), which leveraged his deep understanding of Catholic identity and values.

Andrea McCann

Andrea McCann is employed at EJ Paving as the Human Resource Manager. Before joining the EJ Paving team, Andrea worked for the municipal government for over 20 years. Her community involvement and public relations skills make her a great addition to the Board of Directors.

Lisa Breen
Board Member, Mary Immaculate Guild
Lisa Marie Breen Woidyla lives on Stony Meadow Farm in Salem, NH, with her husband Steve, where they sell eggs and vegetables and caretake for horses, sheep and chickens. A long-time resident of Salem, she is a graduate of Salem High School and Castle Junior College, where she received her associate degree in Business Administration. At a young age, she had a son Casey.
She volunteers at the Holy Family Hospital raising money for cancer, at the Salvation Army ringing the bells every Christmas, and as a member of the Ladies Ancient Order Hibernians. She has served as Grand Marshall of the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and was honored as Irish Woman of the Year.
Lisa is a 5th-generation Funeral Director at John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc with her brother Charles Breen and her Cousin John Breen.
Del Downing, NHA
Board Member, Mary Immaculate Guild & Executive Director, Mary Immaculate Nursing/Restorative Center
Most recently, Del served as Area Vice President for Golden Living in Canton, Mass., where he oversaw a region that included more than 1,600 beds. During his tenure, his leadership guided the organization to improve resident satisfaction rates and expand relationships with local accountable care organizations (ACOs).
Del holds a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from Alaska Pacific University and served in the United States Air Force. He resides in Manchester, N.H.

Paul Gangi
Board Member, Mary Immaculate Guild
A member of the Mary Immaculate Guild since its founding, Paul has served on the Board of Directors since 2015. A graduate of St John’s Prep in Danvers and Boston College, Paul spent seven years working as a legislative director at the Massachusetts House of Representatives and currently serves as Program Director for a Boston-based voter advocacy and education non-profit. He and his wife are lifelong residents of the Merrimack Valley, where they reside in their hometown of North Andover.
Ann-Marie Giarrusso
Board Member, Mary Immaculate Guild
Ann-Marie was born and raised in Lawrence; and, as a teenager, would pass the Mary Immaculate Nursing home daily as she walked to and from St. Mary High School. It is not surprising that she would return to Lawrence to serve as a member of the Development Board at Mary Immaculate Health/Care services, where she has served since 2016.
While her children attended school, Ann-Marie was a member of the Development board at Central Catholic High School and a member of the Advisory Board at Presentation of Mary Academy. Ann-Marie had a successful and lengthy 37-year career at Lawrence General Hospital, where she spent several years working on the floors, in the Emergency Department and in Administration. For the last 16 years at LGH, she was the Director of Medical Staff Services.
Ann-Marie lives in Seabrook, NH, with her husband, John. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her six grandchildren and attending their athletic events, cooking, reading, and doing yoga.
Joseph Levesque

Joseph “Joe” Levesque is currently the Director of Environmental Care and Facility Director at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. He was a former employee at Mary Immaculate and still works per diem. His passion is helping organizations like Mary Immaculate find ways to “go green and save green.”
His family has a long history at Mary Immaculate: his mother worked at the protectory, his grandmother was a resident, and he met his wife, Lillian, there, where she was working as a social worker. When he’s not working, you can find Joe playing competitive cornhole or darts. He is deeply dedicated to his wife, three daughters and three grandchildren.
