Very Rev. John W. Delaney, V.F Elected to MI Board of Directors
The Board of Directors for Mary Immaculate Health/Care Services (MIHCS) recently elected the Very Rev. John W. Delaney, V.F. to the Board of Directors for a four year term.
Fr. Delaney currently serves as the Pastor of Sacred Hearts Parish in Bradford (MA) as well as Vicar Forane for the Merrimack Valley Region of the Archdiocese. Prior to this appointment, his ministry included serving as Parochial Vicar at St. Michael Parish in North Andover (MA), and as Parochial Vicar at St. Joseph Parish in Needham (MA).
Fr. Delaney is a Magna cum Laude graduate of the College of the Holy Cross where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry Pre-Med. He earned his Master’s Degree in Chemistry at the University of New Hampshire and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from Tufts University. Fr. Delaney completed his Master of Divinity at St. John’s Seminary, and was ordained to the Roman Catholic Priesthood for the Archdiocese of Boston in 1995.
Fr. Delaney has played an active role on several Boards of Directors including the Clergy Personnel Board for the Archdiocese of Boston; the Notre Dame/Cristo Rey High School in Lawrence (MA); the Trauma Intervention Program of the Merrimack Valley; and the St. Mary/Mary Immaculate Cemetery in Lawrence. Fr. Delaney also serves as fire and police chaplain in various communities and for the Division 8 Ancient Order of the Hibernians and the St. Clare League of Catholic Women. He is also a member of the Mary Immaculate Guild.
