Senior Leadership

Foley-1Gerard Foley, JD, MPH, President/CEO

In August 2022, we welcomed back Gerard “Gerry” Foley as President/CEO of Mary Immaculate Health Care Services (MIHCS), a role he initially held from 2011 to 2017. Gerry rejoined MIHCS after several years of service at Covenant Health’s home office in a variety of roles. In 2017, he assumed responsibility for the system’s post-acute care facilities as the Vice President of Post-Acute Care Operations. In 2019, he was promoted to Senior Vice President and President of Post-Acute Care and became a member of the Corporate Leadership Team. Additionally, Gerry served as President of Covenant Health Systems, our Public Juridic Person (PJP), which leveraged his deep understanding of Catholic identity and values.

Gerry’s other experience includes tenure as CEO of Kindred Hospital Boston North Shore and as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Lawrence General Hospital. He holds a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, a Master of Public Health from Yale University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the College of the Holy Cross.

In 2018, Gerry assumed leadership for the Northeastern USA Lieutenancy of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. This Order is a lay institution placed under the protection of the Holy See. Its main aim is to strengthen, among its members, the practice of Christian life, and to sustain and aid the charitable, cultural and social works and institutions of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land. Gerry also serves on the Boards of many parish and professional organizations.

Most recently, Del served as Area Vice President for Golden Living in Canton, Mass., where he oversaw a region that included more than 1,600 beds. During his tenure, his leadership guided the organization to improved resident satisfaction rates and expanded relationships with local accountable care organizations (ACOs).

Del holds a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from Alaska Pacific University and served in the United States Air Force. He resides in Manchester, N.H.

Tricia-Shaw-DONTricia Shaw RN, CDONA, IP-BC, Director of Nursing
Tricia Shaw serves as Director of Nursing for the MI Nursing/Restorative Center, a 231-bed community offering skilled nursing as well as physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapy rehabilitation services.

Prior to joining MIHCS, Shaw held Director of Nursing positions at Erickson Living’s Brooksby Village in Peabody, Mass. and Berkshire Healthcare’s Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danvers, Mass. Shaw is a registered nurse. Shaw earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from North Shore Community College in Beverly, Mass. Shaw also currently holds certifications in laboratory technology, infection control and dementia care and nursing administration.

adrienne cullenAdrienne Cullen, Director of Mission Integration 
Adrienne Cullen serves as Director of Mission Integration at Mary Immaculate Health/Care Services (MIHCS). Most recently, Cullen served as a Pastoral Associate at the Catholic Community of Billerica, Mass. Prior to that, she was a Pastoral Assistant at St. Andrew Parish, also in Billerica. She earned both her Post-Masters Certificate in Spiritual Formation/Direction and Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

In addition, Cullen holds a Spiritual Direction Certificate from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wis. as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

leah dohertyLeah Doherty, PHR, Director of Employee Experience
Leah Doherty is responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the Human Resource function throughout Mary Immaculate. Prior to joining MI, Leah gained 15 years of Human Resource Management experience in a variety of healthcare and food service settings. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire.

Leah is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), a designation awarded by HR Certification Institute, the credentialing body for Human Resource professionals. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the Northeast Human Resource Association.
