Employee of the Month
August Employee of the Month
Kathleen “Katrina” Carey, RN joined the Mary Immaculate family in October 2015 as part of our per diem pool for the night shift. From the beginning Katrina possessed a strong work ethic and provided generous availability and flexibility and quickly became an important part of our night shift. If you ask Katrina’s co-workers what stands out about Katrina they would say she has a calm reassuring manner that makes even the busiest of nights seem easy. Katrina has the highest respect for the residents and her co-workers and always puts their needs in front of everything else.
Growing within the organization, Katrina has taken on additional roles and now splits her time between staff and supervisory. What makes her stand out is her ability to take on challenges and make decisions that ensure that both the rights and dignity of the residents, their families, and the staff are the top priority. It is obvious to all who have the pleasure to work with Katrina that she lives our organizational values.
Compassion can be observed with every interaction with the residents or when she is rounding on the floors and answering call lights. Integrity is shown through her decision-making abilities in everything she does. Collaboration with co-workers and providers is evident each shift and provides immense value for our residents. Excellence as seen in how Katrina balances her busy family life and work responsibilities. These are just some of the reasons why Katrina Carey has been named Employee of the Month for the month of August 2018.
